Winter Weather Plan of Action

Though the weather outside be frightful,

Going to school is so delightful,

There’s no place we’d rather go,

So let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Though, in a recent poll, no students actually agreed with the above lyrics, they do serve as a lead in to our school’s weather policy.  Please remember that we do not always align with Hardin County schools, so if they are closed do not assume SCA will be closed as well.  To ensure you know the status of our school closings, please do the following:

  1. check the school’s website – school closings, or openings, will be posted as soon as they are known
  2. make sure you receive Remind 101 from your child’s teacher; all teachers are using this form of communication to contact parents and inform them of  weather updates, including school closings; you may opt to receive the message via text or email; if you haven’t received any message through this format, contact your child’s teacher so the kink may be located and worked out
  3. check RenWeb as school closings will be posted there as well
  4. look for the announcement on Facebook…depending on the answer you’re looking for, you may like us…or not…

Hopefully, one or more of these will provide you with the information you need to plan your day.  There are five “snow days” built into the calendar; to date one has been used (11/14).  That leaves four more days…Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!
