Updated Friday, September 3

I have the greatest class this year! Students have been learning and following class rules well, listening attentively, and working very hard. I have to say that I am probably the most blessed teacher in Hardin County this year. Thank you parents for allowing me to teach your child. I think this year is going to be fantastic!

RenWeb is up and running. I have gone into my own child’s page and have looked at grades, ordered lunches,  viewed lesson plans and noticed  assigned homework.  I recommend that log in and get used to the format. I did notice that lesson plans and homework are on different pages. Please note that homework in 4th grade will be under lesson plans. Unfinished work will be taken home as homework. Because of this, there will be few, if any, posts under homework.

I add grades a few times a week. If you notice a low average, please check to see if there is any missing work. I believe the system will average the missing assignment as a zero grade.

You may order lunches online. You will need to scroll down to see an icon (place web order). You will be billed at the end of each month.

I hope you have heard about our ticket system in fourth grade. The students are enjoying earning tickets for making good choices, being on task, following directions, winning games, and having clean desks. However, I do need all of your help. I need to fill the store box. I have purchased some items, and a few parents have also, but the more store items I have, the more tickets I give out.  Students love anything from toys to school supplies. They also like to buy gifts for family members (mugs, candles, picture frames, etc.). The items can cost any amount or even be something you were going to get rid of. Last year I brought in my son’s multidisc cd player and it was sold. I put a value according to what I think the kids will pay. I thank you in advance for your help. Tickets are important to most of my students.

I am the librarian for our class. However, I spend most of the time checking in and out books. If you would like to volunteer to come read out loud to our class, I would appreciate it. It doesn’t matter what day. I will adjust our class schedule to fit yours. Drop me an email if you are interested or have a date in mind.
