Mrs. Vicki Gallik

Yay!    Our full first week of school went great.  I hope everyone enjoys the Labor Day holiday.

Our fundraiser is underway, so….sell sell sell  !

Fourth and Fifth graders will dress out.  The p.e. shirts and shorts may be purchased before school begins.  Everyone has been doing a good job in P.E.  I know it is still hot, but hopefully, the temperature will cool down in a few weeks.

K-4th science classes will have the regular teacher for science, and I will follow up with an enrichment lab each week.

We are doing some great things in all of the Science classes.  Kindergarten  through 5th grade have been learning the scientific method.  We have been measuring things, lots of things.

6th graders will start the chapter on the immune system next week.

Back to School Tips

*  Get to bed early-  You need to get plenty of sleep so you can not only wake up in time for school, but you will actually feel better when you are getting your 8 hours in.  ( I would love to implement a nap time for the older children,  but sorry guys, we have to stay awake)

*  Complete homework assignments before homeroom the next day.  It will be turned in during homeroom and you want to get credit for it-  Don’t wait until it’s too late.

*  Remember to dress appropriately-  We are still in the heat of summer-  If you have noticed, we do not have trees for shade.  P.E. will get hot.

*  You may bring cupcakes or cookies for your birthday and with time limitations , you may want to pass them out during snack instead of waiting until lunch

* You are responsible for your own actions-  Make good choices  so that you do not have to SUFFER the consequences of poor choices.

My home # is 438-3355.  I am old and therefore I go to bed early .  Please call before 8:00 p.m.  (  I can usually stay up this late)

If you have any questions or concerns, please call me !  I love your precious children and feel truly blessed to be at SCA .
