Dear Parents,

Welcome to kindergarten!! We are so glad you chose SCA, and we hope your family will be blessed by your experience in this first year of Christian education.

Each day at 9:00 a.m. we will have a snack. Please send something to eat and a drink or you may purchase one. Starting on Monday, if you would like to send $6.00 labeled in a baggie, your child will purchase a “milk” or “juice” card worth 20 milks or 40 juices. Each day they purchase juice or milk, I will punch their card and when its out, I will let you know.

Look for homework on Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays. Students are to learn a Bible verse each week. I will send this home on Monday and it is also on our monthly calendar.

On Fridays we will send home an eagle folder with your child’s work in it for you to keep. Please send the folder back on Monday (empty).

If you would like to send a treat to share with the class on your child’s birthday, please do!!

We are blessed to have a Christian school. Continue to pray for us daily that we seek God’s will in our educational teaching. Thank you for believing in this important mission. I am excited to be a part of your child’s life.

**Reminder- if you bring your child to school before 7:50 a.m. they must go to the cafeteria. Thanks!! Teachers and other staff are in the cafeteria to accommodate early arrivals.

SCA Quick Hits

Cross Country meets will be on most Thursdays throughout September. For more information, please look at the Sports section.

Congratulations to the Cross Country team! The girls’ team placed third at their first meet and three of the members received a medal. For more info, go to the Sports page.

For lunch calendars, please visit the Parents’ Web Page through RenWeb. Click on the Student Info tab and then select Lunch from the scroll down bar.

Eat Now…Pay Later; new approach to lunch procedures; monthly statements will go home with charges accrued for each month.

Upcoming Events

Charleston Wraps Fund Raiser kicks off on September 3rd. This will continue through September 15th (even though the cover page says Sept. 13th!). Students who sell an item are entered into a daily drawing…ask them what happens next!

Labor Day; Sept. 6th – no school

Prayer Walks will start back on Tuesday, September 7th. This is from 8:15 – 8:45. We will meet in the library. This is a weekly event.
