Mrs. Rachael
Our class mission statement-
The mission of Mrs. Rachael’s third grade class is to promote, preserve, and practice Godly principles by learning organization both in the classroom and outside of the classroom.
No School Monday due to Labor Day.
Welcome to third grade! Students will use their planners this week to record homework and test dates. If you have had trouble finding a planner to purchase, your child may use notebook paper to record assignments this week. Planners need to be initialed by a parent or guardian each night. (even if there is no homework) This helps students stay in the routine of getting their planners checked. Yellow folders are sent home daily. Please check this folder, remove any notes, sign anything that needs to be returned, etc. Your child will turn this folder in every morning, so if you have any notes to send to me or to the office, return them in this folder.
Math- We will spend most of the week working on subtraction with borrowing. All students could benefit from extra practice at home. I will take daily grades for math this week. Students will also take a quiz over the 0-2 multiplication facts on Friday the 9th.
Language- We will review the elements of a sentence, the different types of sentences, and begin learning the capitalization rules. Students will take their first Language test on Thursday.

This weeks verse is I Corinthians 15:3-4, “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ dies for our sins according to the Scriptures and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” Students will also be learning the books of Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. We will practice the verse in class daily, but please review at home.
