Mrs. Donna
Greetings Parents,
We have had a fabulous week in the second grade. The children are adjusting to school life quite well. I was so proud of them when they were able to recite our class mission statement to the entire school this past Wednesday in chapel with such enthusiasm! It goes like this. ” Our mission in second grade is to love, care, and obey. Jesus is our example. Like Him we seek to be. I will cherish God’s guidance and believe.” They are really working hard at putting our mission statement to practice. Praise God!!
Just a few reminders.
1. If you have not bought your child a drink ticket these are available for $6.00. This makes snack time, your mornings, and my mornings a lot easier.
2. Starting next week ( Sept. 7) I will be recording if your child is tardy. Please make every effort to make sure that your child is on time.
3. Homework-
Monday(or the first day of the school week) – Spelling list, spelling homework, and Bible memory verse will come home . Please keep the Spelling list and the Bible memory verse to practice with your child at home. Send the completed Spelling homework back to school.
Tuesday- Math, Study for Spelling Pretest( given on Thursdays)— If your child makes a perfect score on the Spelling Pretest they are exempt from Friday’s Spelling test.
Thursday- Study for Spelling test and Bible memory verse recitation
I think that just about wraps it up. Have a safe and blessed Labor Day weekend!!
