It’s Yearbook Picture Time!

As the yearbook staff begins work on the 2011-2012 yearbook, they are in need of extra pictures for the collage pages.  This year, Jostens has created a new website for these pictures.  It’s a great website and a bit faster than in previous years.  Please submit as many pictures as possible that contain pictures of SCA students at school or at school-related events.

Thanks is advance for your help and should you need extra assistance, please contact the school office.

Website information:  www.replayit.com

*You will be asked to register the first time.  Please be sure to choose the correct school name -SCA in Savannah, TN not in Savannah, GA!

**If you are asked to give a title or label for your pictures, please do so with your child’s grade and name.

Thanks for helping make this a “year to remember”!

Weather Contact Plan

In the event that school is cancelled due to the weather, here is how such information is communicated:

  • announced on WKWX radio, 93.5
  • posted on the school website
  • teachers call parents; may ask for parental assistance in contacting all class parents
If you prefer to receive a message via text, please let your child’s teacher know; even if texting is not preferred, it would be good to let your child’s teacher know your preferred method of contact.

We’ve Got Spirit, Yes We Do!!!

Joining the ranks of “First Time Ever’s” at SCA (already in the group are a school gym and home ballgames) are our very own Pep Rallies!  Hip, Hip, Hooray!  Thanks to the efforts of Christy Shelby and her energetic cohorts, SCA is enjoying some very boisterous Pep Rallies.  Here are some pictures to let you get a feel for the fun we’re having…to copy a phrase, “We’re lovin’ it!”

RebWeb Info

This year we will utilize more of the components that RenWeb has to offer.  Teachers will post their lesson plans and grades so that you can keep up with what is going on in your child’s classroom.  We will also keep the school’s extra-curricular calendar updated so that you can see where you need to be before you need to be there!  We are hoping to have the lunchroom component activated within the first six weeks of school, once we have time to let you know how it will work!

If you haven’t already logged on to the Parents’ Web, you can do so by clicking on the RenWeb icon located in the upper right hand corner of the website or you can go to www.renweb.com.  You will need to enter SCA-TN for the district code; after that, you’ll receive an e-mail containing your assigned password which you may then change to one of your choosing.  If you are new to SCA, you will not be entered into the RenWeb system until all paperwork has been turned in; at present, only returning families have immediate access to the Parents’ Web…but we’ll get you plugged in as quickly as possible!

We look forward to the benefits we will receive through the use of this new
