7th-8th Grade Tennessee Projects

Check out the creativity of SCA’s 7th-8th graders! They built replicas of a few of Tennessee’s tourists sites during their study of Tennessee history.

3rd Grade Science Exploration

The third grade class explored outer space! Check out their version of the planets! They are out of this world!!!    

Miss Delaney Timberman visited SCA for Read across America!

              SCA graduate and current Mrs. Henderson County Delaney Timberman stopped by SCA today. Delaney spoke about her platform for the Mrs. Tennessee pageant in June. She also read to many students during her visit!!  

1st Grade explores other countries!

Mrs. Lauren’s first graders have been exploring other countries. Check out their explorations! SCA first graders are displaying their writing skills in the hallway at SCA. Each child researched information on a country and colored a picture of the country’s flag. Stop by and learn more from their hard efforts. Way to go, first graders!!  

Spelling Bee 2015 for 5-8th grade

The ACSI Spelling Bee was held on February 23rd, at Briarcrest, Eads, TN. SCA representatives were as follows: 5th grade- Wheeler Wilkes, Ryan Reid, Kimora Thompson; 6th grade- Cooper Clapp, Luke Evans, and Rylee Blount; 7th grade- Kimme Callahan, Sara Oakley, and Jarrett Martin. 4-H Speeches for Hardin County held at SCA!

Macey Williams, Wheeler Wilkes, Walker Evans, and Matthew Westmoreland participated in the 4-H  county-wide speech contest at SCA! Congratulations to Wheeler Wilkes for receiving second place for the fifth grade division.

Informative President Reports from Kindergarten!

In support of their country, SCA’s kindergarten class has been studying the Presidents of the United States! Each child chose a President, researched him, created a poster, and gave a report! Whew!! They have been busy!

ACSI Art Winners

The ACSI Regional Art Festival was held at the Regency Square Mall in Florence, Al. Four school were represented in the competition with 250 representatives from Florence, AL; Huntsville, AL; Savannah, TN; and Franklin, TN. 39 entries 31 participates-(Some students had 2 entries.) ACSI Math Olympics

Congratulations to seventh graders Steven Cagle and Aaron Jones for their performance at the Math Olympics in Memphis. Aaron Jones finished first in reasoning and Steven Cagle finished fourth in computation. There were 232 participants involved in the event. We had a total of 27 students the competed in the third through the eighth grade.
